Water Hammer Tank

The PTH-WHP series membrane expansion and Anti Water Hammer tanks, manufactured by Ptech, are high-durability pressure vessels designed for use in hot and cold domestic water circuits, pressurization systems, heating installations, and cooling cycles.

Thanks to their replaceable rubber membrane and PP protective cap, water is prevented from contacting the metal body, minimizing corrosion and increasing overall system reliability. The tanks can operate at pressures up to 16 bar and within a temperature range of −10/+100 °C. Optional connection components and a tie-rod help stabilize the membrane position, contributing to extended service life.

Their high-quality epoxy exterior coating provides exceptional resistance to oxidation. With capacities ranging from 8 to 2000 liters, they offer versatile solutions suitable for a wide variety of applications.

Use
- It is suitable for use in hot and cold domestic water circuits, pressurization (booster) systems, closed-loop heating installations, and industrial cooling cycles. Within these applications, it stabilizes hydraulic pressure fluctuations, compensates for volumetric expansion, and minimizes water hammer effects. This helps protect system components such as pumps, heat exchangers, piping networks, and valves, thereby increasing overall operational efficiency and extending equipment service life.
