Grit and Grease Scraper Bridges

Suspended solids in water passing through certain stages are stacked on thebottom of the pool in physically static condition.

The sludge formed by the solid materials in thebasin is conveyed to the center of the pool by means of centrally drivenscrapers. The scrapers not only remove the sludge in the bottom but also thefoam on the surface by passing it to the skim removal funnel.

The accumulated sludge can be removed withsuction pumps. The bridge feature differs according to the size and geometry ofthe pool. Hot-dip galvanize or AISI 304-316 stainless steel can be used tomanufacture the scraper bridges Scrapers can work linearly or circularly.
